kardgames.com (“Kardgames”, “we”, “us”) is operated by i-o-smart in Hong Kong. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your choices. We handle personal data in line with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of Hong Kong.
1. What we collect
- Information you give us: your name and email address if you subscribe to updates, join a workshop, contact us, or (when available) subscribe to Kardgames Circle.
- Payment information: when paid subscriptions launch, payments will be handled by our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy. We do not see or store your card details.
- Technical information: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited and language choice, collected automatically by our website, hosting and security tools.
- Analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. It uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as pages visited, device type and approximate location. We use this data in aggregate and do not use it to identify you. 2. How we use it
- To run the website and deliver games, content and workshop materials.
- To send updates and newsletters you signed up for. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in each email.

3. Games
Our games run in your browser. Any progress or settings a game saves are stored on your own device unless the game tells you otherwise. Please do not enter personal information into games.
4. Language translation
We use GTranslate to offer Traditional and Simplified Chinese. When you switch language, page text is sent to the translation service. It is not used to identify you.
5. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the site, and only as needed:
- Hosting and email services (Hostinger)
- Payment and subscription processing (Lemon Squeezy)
- Translation (GTranslate)
- Website analytics (Google Analytics) and search visibility tools (Google Search Console)

6. Children
Kardgames is designed for parents, teachers and students. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. Parents and guardians manage any account or subscription for younger children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Data storage and security
We take reasonable steps to protect your data, including security tools and access controls. No online service is completely secure. Our service providers, including Google, may store data outside Hong Kong.
8. How long we keep data
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required by law. Email subscribers stay on our list until they unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept for the period set in our analytics account.

Our site may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
